Tommy Linae Winn

Murdered April 21, 1996


Tommy Linae Winn was murdered on April 21, 1996 by Warren Stern. Stern interrupted a party Winn was attending. He entered the party with four friends and stated that he wouldn't leave until he got into a fight. Police say a fight between Tommy and Warren broke out which ended in a nearby alley with Tommy dead with a pierced lung from a knife wound.

Warren Stern has an extensive rap sheet, including assault with a deadly weapon, stolen vechicle and robbery. He had served 2 years in prison and was paroled in December 1995. Stern is a hot tempered native of South Africa and after this incident, police say he even bragged to his friends about killing Tommy Winn.
