Brittany Phillips

On September 30, 2004, Brittany Phillips was found brutally raped and murdered (probably 3 nights prior), in the middle of the night in her apartment. This apartment sits right next to Union High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she went to high school 2 years prior. Although there was extensive evidence, all current suspects have been ruled out. Brittany apparantky died by asphysication. The upstairs aprtment had the appearance of a breakin, with screens off and the french doors of the small side porch open, but there did not appear to be anything missing.

In 2003 Brittany went away to college to at alma mater in Florida. She was a year younger than most and planning to study to become a pharmaceutical researcher. She decided in the spring of 2004 to move home to Tulsa, that she felt too young to live away. That decision appeared to be fatal. On September 30, 2004, at 1 am in the morning, her mother received a knock at the door and was informed in a quick and curt manner that her daughter was dead. She rushed down to her apartment at 3:00 a.m. and found out that she had been dead for two days. The billboard has gratiously been donated by LAMAR Advertising.
